Feel Old Yet? 20 Celebs Who Grew Up
Watching child stars grow up in Hollywood can be thrilling but also sobering. They start out as sweet, young and innocent little children in a film or show that we love and then we blink and they're strutting around town in an adult body doing adult things like paying bills and buying their own food. We wonder where the sweet innocent child went and what'll happen with the new adult replacement. And if we're the same age as the star, it's like watching our twin or best friend sprout before our eyes and morph into a successful grown up without us. In some ways, that's both easier and harder to deal with for some of us.
But questioning the universe and the future aside, we also get to watch these kids grow up in an admittedly harsh environment and somehow manage to thrive and come out on top as successful well-adjusted people (for the most part; there's always a few rotten eggs). Some of us even have kids the same age or close to the same as these youthful celebrities which can further drive home the point of how fleeting life is and how fast time flies. To further illustrate this fact, here are 20 young celebrities who just became legal adults.
20 Third One's The Charm
Willow Smith is the youngest child and only daughter of actor Will Smith and musician Jada Smith, making her an already famous name and giving her a boost of credibility in Hollywood. She has two famous older brothers and is busily making a name for herself as well. She first appeared in I Am Legend alongside her dad and has since appeared in several film productions, but her main focus is on music.
She's released several hit songs, beginning with Whip My Hair, and two albums with rumors of more to come. She is currently 17 years old though it is arguable that she doesn't look her age at all.
