We're not surprised that Emily was approached by modeling agencies at an early age. Her parents who are an artist and an English professor didn't want her to become a child star, so they declined every offer that came their way. It appears that her mother had a different dream for her daughter. Emily explained to ES Magazine, “My mum said 'no, she'll be a brain surgeon' because she didn't like the idea that I would think that [my appearance] was the only thing that I was going to be valued for.” The modeling agencies did not give up and continued to pursue Emily for modeling. It might be hard to believe that Emily was rejected for film roles, but it's happened to her twice. She really wanted to play Masha in The Seagull, and a role in American Pastoral, but they didn't want to cast her because she was deemed too pretty. She told the British UK, “The ones that I really want have to be a really interesting script and story and usually the girl is ugly.” Emily doesn't like that she's typecast as the pretty girl. After some digging, we thought we'd find his date of birth, but nothing came up. We don't know his birthday, but we might have an idea how old he might be because of a photo he posted on his Instagram of him and his adorable dog on April 19, 2017. His caption says, “#im252inDogYears.” After we converted dog years to human years, it seems like he was 36 years old at the time. It's possible that he turned 36 before April, so he could be 37 today. He's ten or eleven years older than Emily.

Sebastian founded Elara Pictures with Josh and Benny Safdie.
