According to People, Harry said this about meeting Meghan for the first time,
“I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her and there she was sitting there. I was like 'Okay, well I'm going to have to really up my game here, and sit down and make sure I've got a good chat.'”
A good chat?! How cute and British is he?! Luckily, Meghan was equally smitten. Meghan told BBC, that she only asked one question of the friend who set them up. In the deal or no deal moment, she asked if Harry was nice; the friend said yes, and now so has Meghan!

Throughout the interview, they talk about how they used nights-in to get to know each other, and we love this intimate proposal. Of course, Meghan said YES!
13 The Meaningful Ring And The Touching Tribute To Harry's Mum, Princess Diana
Princess Diana's blue sapphire and diamond ring is perhaps one of the most famous rings of all time, and it could have been Meghan Markle's ring; however, according to Vogue, Harry sacrificed the famous blue ring that he inherited from his Mum years ago and gave it to his brother when he saw how much Will loved Kate, but also adoring her as a sister himself. Harry, instead, described to BBC, that he designed a ring for Meghan; he said:
“The main stone is sourced from Botswana and the - the little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewelry collection to make sure that she's with us on this - on this crazy journey together.”
We love how thoughtful Harry was to include his mother's diamonds to make sure she is a part of their engagement and their forever.

Meghan Markle opened up to Vanity Fair about her then boyfriend, now fiancé and said, "We're a couple. We're in love. I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story." We love a good love story too! Meghan and Harry announced their engagement with the Queen's approval and then released these GORGEOUS engagement photos. Meghan and Harry couldn't look more in love, and it's giving us butterflies that Meghan is wearing this breathtaking dress, which is a stark contrast from the more conservative photos that Will and Kate released upon their engagement.

We're wondering if we'll see the cream and gold from the invites show up in other aspects of the May 19th celebrations.

It was estimated that 2 billion people watched the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Will and Kate's, wedding. Prince William and Kate Middleton married in 2011 and garnered worldwide attention, as the first of Charles and Diana's sons to marry; we're guessing that even more people will watch the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as they have attracted global interest as well, due in part to Meghan's celebrity. The wedding will take place on May 19th, and according to Kensington Palace, it will begin at noon at St. George's Chapel. Cosmopolitan reported that St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle is where Prince Harry was christened and holds less than 1,000 people; this will be a big difference compared to Will and Kate's wedding, which took place at Westminster Abbey, which holds about 2,000 people. 8 Peonies Please, The Florist Is Going For An English Garden Feel
There's no doubt about it, as we're counting down the days until the royal wedding, there are people hard at work designing floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces. In Meghan and Harry's BBC interview, Meghan talked about their relationship being natural and organic, and we're thinking the flowers for their wedding day will reflect those sentiments. According to Town and Country, Will and Kate used almost 30,000 flowers in their wedding, and Meghan and Harry will likely use traditional English garden flowers. Their florist, Philippa Craddock, took to Instagram to say this about working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, “I am loving working with them, it is an incredible privilege, and the designs will be a true reflection of them as a couple, with sustainability at the forefront. We will be using plenty of locally sourced greenery and seasonal flowers including peonies, garden roses, and foxgloves.” We can't wait to see the bouquet!
7 The Dress Is Still Top Secret, But Lace And Sleeves Are Highly Possible
One of the biggest secrets yet to be revealed is who will be designing Meghan Markle's wedding dress. Earlier this month Town and Country confirmed that Meghan had picked a dress designer.
According to Town and Country, Meghan had once said this about her future wedding dress, “I have the luxury of wearing beautiful pieces of clothing every day for work, so my personal style - wedding or not - is very pared down and relaxed. Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist. I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic.”
Traditionally, royal wedding dresses incorporate lace, and sleeves, which we imagine will be at least a small part of the overall design. Earlier this week Daily Mail reported that perhaps Christopher Bailey, Burberry designer, is designing Meghan Markle's dress. All we know is that the summer trend will surely be dresses inspired by the royal wedding!
6 A Wedding Day Luncheon With The Queen
Surely the most nerve-racking part about dating Price Harry was waiting for the approval of his grandmother, The Queen of England, especially considering Meghan Markle is American, an actress, and has already been married once. Fortunately, for Meghan and the world, Queen Elizabeth took to her. In their interview with BBC, Meghan described meeting The Queen, “It's incredible, I think, you know… to be able to meet her through his lens, not just with his honor and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother, all of those layers have been so important for me… she's an incredible woman.” Prince Harry joked that he knew right away when The Queen's corgis took to Meghan Markle and laid at her feet. He said, “I've spent the last 33 years being barked at.” Kensington Palace announced on Twitter that The Queen will host a luncheon for the married couple on May 19th at St. George's Hall.
5 A Zingy Lemon Elderflower Cake Adorned With Fresh Flowers For This Forever
Kensington Palace took to Twitter to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had chosen the baker to make the cake for the royal wedding.
They chose pastry chef Claire Ptak, who owns Violet Cakes, a bakery that Meghan once wrote about on her blog.
According to the tweet, the cake will be a lemon elderflower cake, decorated with fresh flowers! Violet Cakes' Instagram account seems to be hinting that the cake will be decorated with peonies, which would also match the flowers that Philippa Craddock is hinting at, and it's giving us butterflies. According to Vogue, Meghan Markle interviewed Claire Ptak for The Tig, a now-deleted blog that Meghan once had, and chose her for their wedding because of her use of organic and seasonal ingredients.
4 Frog To Prince Or Prince To Frog? Frogmore House Reception
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement photos made headlines, as they were beautiful and showed the couple's obvious admiration for one another; the elegant photos were taken at the gardens of Frogmore House, the same place Harry and Meghan will have a small reception after their May 19th wedding and reception luncheon. Kensington Palace tweeted that this smaller reception of about 200 will be hosted by Harry's father, Charles, first in line for the throne. Bustle reports that Frogmore House is perfect for the “intimate gathering,” as it has been home to other royal receptions; the name Frogmore House suits this residence as the water there is frequented by frogs, ironic as someone is basically becoming a princess that day and there will be a kiss!
3 The Speech That's Already Been Making Headlines
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been challenging tradition since their relationship began, from their trip to Botswana weeks after their first date, Meghan's background as an actress and model, and her untraditional couture style dress for their engagement photos; their wedding day will be no different. The soon to be duchess will, untraditionally, give a speech at their reception.
Town and Country reported that this “personal touch” will be a thank you to her new husband, and his family.
Town and Country's insider said, “The feeling is if Meghan's father doesn't speak for her, she wants to have the chance to thank her husband and everyone who has supported them. Harry thinks it's a great idea.” Meghan, an activist and outspoken blogger who is used to public speaking will surely have a lot to say in her new role as a duchess and Harry's wife.
2 Will Meghan Be A Princess? Can We Be One Too?
According to Vanity Fair, Meghan's close friend said this of Meghan, “She's got warm elegance, though her style is hard to pin down. It's classy and timeless. When you're talking to her, you feel like you're the only person on the planet. And it's just wonderful to see her so in love.” It's that classy and timeless elegance that makes us think that Meghan could be a princess!
In reality, Harry, fifth in line for the crown, and Meghan will more than likely be titled Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to The Telegraph.
Similarly, William and Kate are called Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Prince Harry and William have both chosen articulate, elegant woman to be their wives, and we think Princess Diana would be very proud, even if Meghan and Kate don't get to be princesses too.
1 When Can We Expect A Royal Baby? Harry And Meghan's Life After “I do”
Prince Harry excitedly told BBC, that children were in the “near future” for him and Meghan Markle and we think we can expect a royal baby in the very near future! Meghan is a few years older than Harry, at 36 now, turning 37 just months after the wedding, and we can't imagine they'll waste any time starting their own family, especially with them being so in love! They both want children, and Prince Harry has gotten a lot of practice being an uncle to Charlotte and George. According to Cosmopolitan, Will and Kate had George a little over two years after their wedding, marrying in April 2011, and pictured with baby boy George for the first time in July 2013. We doubt Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will wait quite as long!
