The Cast Of The Hills What They Looked Like In Their First Season vs. Now
Can you believe that The Hills made its debut over a decade ago? The Hills is the spin-off of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. People love to watch reality shows because of the drama, and The Hills did not disappoint. There were a lot of tears and a lot of yelling like the time Lauren yelled her infamous line at Heidi, “You know what you did!” when she suspected that Heidi and Spencer spread a rumor about her. Best friends became enemies right then and there. Unfortunately, the popular reality show ended after six seasons.
After The Hills filmed its series finale, some of the cast members tried a lot of different things. They appeared on other reality shows. Some even tried to get into acting by starring in movies. There are others who avoided the spotlight and live a normal life. We can't help but wonder if The Hills will ever have a reunion. We certainly hope so…
Take a look at the list below to see how much these 15 cast members from The Hills have changed since their first season and to read what they've been up to lately, but first, don't forget to turn on The Hill's theme song - Natasha Bedingfield's “Unwritten!”
15 Lauren Conrad: "The Girl Who Didn't Go To Paris"
Remember when Lauren Conrad interned at Teen Vogue? She was given the opportunity to work for the company in Paris over the summer, but she made a decision to spend the summer with her then-boyfriend Jason Wahler instead. She'll always be remembered as “the girl who didn't go to Paris.” After she left The Hills, she built a lifestyle empire. She has a successful blog. She has her own fashion line Paper Crown and Kohl's LC by Lauren Conrad. She's written young-adult novels and established herself as a beauty and style guru when she released Lauren Conrad Beauty and Lauren Conrad Style. There's no doubt that being a part of popular reality shows have helped her become a successful entrepreneur. She's married to musician William Tell, and they have a child together.
14 Heidi Montag: Lauren's BFF To Enemy
Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad were BFFs, but when Heidi began dating her now-husband Spencer Pratt, her friendship with Lauren went downhill. Lauren called Spencer “a sucky person,” but regardless of what Lauren thought of Spencer, Heidi chose him over her. The girls officially ended their friendship when Lauren suspected that Heidi and Spencer had spread rumors about an inappropriate tape of her and Jason. They're still not on talking terms and probably never will be. Heidi has tried to make it in the music industry, but it didn't work out well for her, so she stuck with reality shows instead - the British version of Celebrity Big Brother, Marriage Boot Camp, etc. She also made headlines when she underwent ten cosmetic procedures in one day. Last October Heidi and Spencer welcomed their first child.
13 Spencer Pratt: The Villain Of The Hills
Spencer Pratt was the villain of The Hills, and he loved it, too. He was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Villain. Anyway, Spencer tore Heidi's friendship with Lauren apart when Lauren thought he spread a rumor about her and Jason's inappropriate tape, which he later confirmed that he was the one who started the rumor. Despite the drama Heidi and Spencer caused on the show, it seems like “Speidi” are meant to be together after all. They've been together for over ten years, and they now have a son. They also have a new podcast “Make Speidi Famous Again” to get back in the spotlight. To all The Hill's fans, Spencer's trying to get everyone on board for The Hills reunion. We'll have to wait and see if that happens.
12 Audrina Patridge: Had Her Fair Share Of Heartbreak
Audrina Patridge had a fair share of heartbreak. She dated Ryan Cabrera for a few months, but the show mostly focused on her relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin “Bobby” Brescia. After The Hills wrap, she tried a lot of things. She placed seventh on Dancing With The Stars. Her own reality show, Audrina, was short-lived due to low ratings. She even tried acting and starred in movies: Sorority Row, Honey 2, and Scary Movie 5 (her scenes were deleted). She also hosted NBC's travel series 1st look. She married her on-again, off-again boyfriend Corey Bohan in 2016, and they have a child together, but unfortunately, she filed for divorce and restraining order against him ten months later. Last summer, she launched her own bikini brand called Prey Swim.
11 Justin "Bobby" Brescia: Audrina's Bad Boy Ex
Justin “Bobby” Brescia was the hunky hairstylist who's known for his hair flipping and riding a motorcycle, but he's more recognized for being Audrina's on-again, off-again bad boy ex. He got the reputation of a bad boy because he broke her heart over and over again, and there's a scene where he leaves her at the party, and she's crying while holding onto the motorcycle helmet. Also, Justin made out with Kristin Cavallari later in the season. After the series ended in 2010, Justin's one of the cast mates who has been avoiding the spotlight. He stayed away from reality shows. He chose to focus on what he loves, which are making music and cutting hair. He formed a punk rock band called BobbyrocK, and he also owns a couple of hair salons.
10 Whitney Port: Lauren's Fellow Intern At Teen Vogue
Whitney Port was Lauren's fellow intern at Teen Vogue. After being on The Hills for two years, Whitney got her own spin-off show The City which is about her moving to New York City to start a job at People's Revolution and working on her own fashion line, Whitney Eve. The show went on for two seasons, but it wasn't as successful as The Hills. Later, Whitney became a judge on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model. She cameoed on What To Expect When You're Expecting and released a book, True Whit: Designing a Life of Style, Beauty, and Fun. Whitney's married to Tim Rosenman, who was the associate producer for The City. She gave birth to a baby boy last October. A lot of the casts from The Hills recently had a baby.
9 Brody Jenner: The Ladies' Man
Brody Jenner is the son of Caitlyn Jenner. He's known as a party boy and the ladies' man. He and Kristin Cavallari had a long-term relationship before they broke up in 2006. Then, apparently, he had a short-lived relationship with Lauren Conrad on The Hills. They later confessed that they never had a relationship and that it was only for a show (wait, what?). Lauren admitted she had a crush on him at one point though. After The Hill's wrap, Brody dated Avril Lavigne. Things got complicated, so they split after two years together. He also made guest appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians joining his half siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Brody's currently engaged to his girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter of two years. It seems like he's ready to settle down now.
8 Kristin Cavallari: Lauren's Rival Who Replaced Her
After Lauren Conrad left The Hills to pursue other things, she was replaced by her nemesis Kristin Cavallari. There was a lot of drama between them like the time they fought over Stephen Colletti back in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. We're not sure how Lauren felt about her replacement because even though some things on the show might've been scripted, Lauren and Kristin's bad blood was real back then. After the series finale, Kristin competed on Dancing with the Stars. She starred in a couple of TV series like Veronica Mars and The Middle. She released a book, Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making it all Work. She's also a shoe designer for Chinese Laundry. She's married to NFL player Jay Cuter, and they have three kids together.
7 Stephanie Pratt: Spencer's Younger Sister
Stephanie Pratt is Spencer Pratt's younger sister. She found fame on The Hills. She befriended Lauren, and that caused some problems between her and her brother. After The Hills ended, Stephanie moved to the U.K. to join Made in Chelsea, which is a reality show similar to The Hills. She also made an appearance on the British version of Celebrity Big Brother. Apparently, she adopted the British accent while living there. There's a video of her speaking with an accent on Made in Chelsea. Stephanie wrote a book Made in Reality, and last year, she designed a clothing line for Goddiva. Over the years, she's dated a few men, but there was drama with her latest breakup. She accused her former beau Jonny Mitchell of cheating on social media which caused a stir.
6 Lo Bosworth: Lauren's Best Friend From Laguna Beach
Lo Bosworth is Lauren's best friend from high school, and she also starred in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. We got to see her again in The Hills. Soon after the reality show ended, she made a blog about her lifestyle called The Lo Down. She also released a book of the same name and went on Chelsea Lately to promote her book. She has her own Youtube channel where she talks about beauty, and she shows off her cooking skills. Yes, she's a chef. She moved to New York City to attend the International Culinary Center because she's always wanted to become a professional chef. Lo and Lauren seem to remain as good friends. She was a bridesmaid at Lauren's wedding, and they attended their 10-year high school reunion in 2014.
5 Jason Wahler: Lauren's Ex-Boyfriend
Jason Whaler appeared on Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, and he followed Lauren to The Hills. Fans probably remember the scene where Lauren turns down an offer to go to Paris because she wanted to spend the summer with her then-boyfriend. Unfortunately, the couple broke up over that summer. They had an on-again, off-again relationship, so it was only a matter of time. Some people couldn't help but wonder, “Who chooses a guy over Paris?” Maybe if the guy's Jason Whaler. Jason struggled with alcoholism for a while, and he thinks it might've been the reason that ruined his relationship with Lauren. He went on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab in 2010 and has been sober since. He married Ashley Slack in 2013, and he continues to raise awareness about addiction.
4 Frankie Delgado: Bromance With Brody
Other cast members of The Hills have dealt with rocky friendships, but not Frankie Delgado and Brody Jenner. They have a strong bromance. Anyone who watched The Hills know that they were very close and that they loved to party. Frankie was a promoter after all, so that's a given. In case anyone forgot, Frankie had a short-lived relationship with Hilary Duff in 2007. He also made guest appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which isn't a total shock because he's best friends with Brody. After The Hills ended, Frankie left the spotlight. In 2015, the guys from The Hills had a reunion, which was cute. It appears that Frankie's still doing his promoting thing, but one thing has changed. He married Jennifer Acosta in 2013, and they have two kids together.
3 Jordan Eubanks: Heidi's Boyfriend Before Spencer
Before “Speidi” became a thing, Jordan Eubanks was Heidi Montag's boyfriend before she met Spencer Pratt. Jordan bought a fur baby for Heidi's Christmas gift. Unfortunately, the couple broke up at the end of season one, and that was the last time we saw Jordan. It was a pretty dramatic ending. They've had problems in their relationship, and Heidi had enough with the way he treated her. She also realized that she wasn't in love with him, so she packed all of his things before she broke up with him. He tried to work things out with her, but she wanted to move on. After he left The Hills, nobody really knew what he was up to. He was gone just like that until he did an interview with Buzzfeed back in 2015.
2 Jennifer Bunney: Lauren's Friend Who Kissed Brody
Jennifer Bunney also appeared on a couple of episodes on Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County as Lauren's friend. She then made her way to The Hills. Apparently, Jennifer broke the girl code when she kissed Lauren's then-crush Brody Jenner at Lauren's 21st birthday party. When Lauren found out, she ended her friendship with Jennifer. We're not sure why Lauren decided not to be friends with Jennifer anymore because according to Brody, he never hooked up with anyone on the show. Jennifer later became BFFs with Heidi Montag, who was Lauren's best friend once upon a time. After The Hills ended, Jennifer didn't go on other reality shows like some of the cast members have. She married Taylor Dunphy, and she lives a normal life. She's also the godmother of Heidi and Spencer's kid.
1 Lisa Love: Teen Vogue Editor, Lauren And Whitney's Boss
Lisa Love was Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port's boss when they interned at Teen Vogue. She's also known for her famous quote, “She's gonna always be known as the girl who didn't go to Paris.” She said it when Lauren turned down the opportunity to go to Paris because she wanted to be with her then-boyfriend Jason Wahler. It's like every fashion lover's dream to go to Europe! Anyway, there was a rumor that Lauren and Whitney got fired from Teen Vogue. They weren't good role models for the publication because they often partied. Lisa told Us Weekly, “They were great interns in the beginning.” Does that mean they slacked off later? Lisa also wasn't thrilled about Lauren's fashion line, she said, “I think it's more T-shirt kind of things and jeans, very simple basics.”
