We've seen the horror movies, read the terrifying real-life stories, and heard the warnings about locking the doors at night. Yet, we can't help thinking what it would be like if it really happened to us. In the very worst case scenario, some victims haven't always survived the ordeal.

Celebrities are prime targets for robberies - they have household items worth millions, you can track their location on social media to find out if they are home or not and for most robbers, they feel guilt free because the stars have the insurance to cover everything. In other sinister cases, there are stalkers who break in just to take 'tokens' of the stars they admire. It's too creepy for us to even think about but these following cases are those moments every star dreads - someone got inside their house.

Here are some horror stories you might not have heard of because their security will try and keep the robberies on the down low - they don't want other potential thieves to know just how easy it was to get so close to where these celebrities sleep at night.

16 Kendall Jenner Terrified When She Saw Stalker At Her Window

Kendall Jenner had been through a personal hell nobody knew about. During episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kendall revealed that she had suffered a stalker in the past but new court documents show just how terrifying the situation had become. The model said 62-year-old stalker Thomas Hummel's tone had become "increasing hostile and threatening."

He sent her many letters claiming she had been in love with him since she was 2-years-old, she was an "internet ****e", who is "cackling her way through life. Your behavior puerile and self-centred." He added, "You seem to be made of money and crassness. Is it fun? You've been living like this for years. You seem to think that piles of money justify anything."

In one episode of the reality show, she revealed her stalker was waiting for her when she returned home. She tearfully said, "He was standing there… in the gate right behind my car. I'm freaking out… I'm crying, he's banging on the window screaming at me." She now has a restraining order that lasts five years.

15 Mariah Carey Hit In Jewelry Robbery - But They Didn't Get Her $10 Million Ring

Mariah Carey has not had the best year. Her ex-fiance James Parker sold stories to the press about their relationship including private details about their life, which was basically that it didn't exist as she refused before marriage and all she would allow was kissing. Then to add to her stress, the Butterfly singer's L.A. mansion was targeted by robbers who made off with more than $50,000 in jewelry.

The thieves were likely trying to get their hands on the $10 million engagement ring her ex-fiance had purchased for her and in true diva-like fashion, she refused to give back. Shockingly the thieves did trigger one of her silent alarms in the house but her security team failed to pick on this and the robbery wasn't discovered until 6 am the next day.

14 Kim and Kanye's Intruder Caught On CCTV As Security Team Fail Her AGAIN

Following Kim's traumatic robbery in Paris, she fired her full-time bodyguard Pascal Duvier and instead hired a top security team costing upwards of $2 million a year. One source told Entertainment Tonight, "It's a pretty tough situation overall and they love Pascal, but they couldn't take any more chances." However, those plans didn't quite work out when just a year later she was the victim of another robbery.

One suspect, caught on their CCTV wearing a vest and with his hand down his sweatpants, targeted the Bel Air mansion where her family was staying. The unidentified suspect searched several vehicles before running away with one iPhone. Kim has been unable sleep since the first robbery as she revealed to T Singapore, "I definitely get a lot more anxiety now, just with people knowing your every move." This really isn't going to help her at all - where were the security team as this guy was prowling the grounds?

13 Kim's Robber Then Went Next Door To Target Kathy Griffin's Home

Fleeing the Kardashian-West mansion with just an iPhone, Kim's robber clearly wasn't impressed with his haul and he headed next door to the home of comedian Kathy Griffin. The thief trashed one of her luxury vehicles and also took off with a purse. It's unsure if the thief had his sights set on the portrait of Griffin painted by killer Erik Menendez, one of the Menendez Brothers who was sentenced to life in prison for shooting his parents in 1989. Both Kathy and Kim had posed with the portrait in a Snapchat video they shared with their fans.

According to TMZ, Kim vowed after the Paris incident not to brag about wealth on social media. She reportedly said, "Material things mean nothing. It's not all about the money. It's not worth it." The-mother-of-two made the decision after she faced criticism over her social media flaunting which would have 'put a target on her back."

12 Rihanna's Stalker Slept In Her Bed

Armed police had to hunt down Rihanna's stalker after he sent her threats over social media and even got inside her property. Ralph Alexander tweeted the Diamonds singer, "Should of killed @rihanna a minute back I would be good right now." In another sinister tweet, he wrote, "Sorcery is a weapon I use gun. Can't. Use hands." He also tweeted a photo of his weapon to her then-boyfriend Chris Brown with the caption, "Don't run." Alexander also sent very graphic videos to Rihanna.

One of the most sinister things about her stalker was that he successfully broke into her neighbor's house in Los Angeles and slept in their bed believing the home belonged to Rihanna. She successfully obtained a restraining order as court documents claimed she "feared for her safety."

Former Baywatch star and Playboy model Pamela Anderson described her horror when she found out a stalker had been living in her house for several days. The mother-of-two thought she was "going crazy" when she couldn't understand why things kept going missing in her Malibu home back in 2001. It turned out the items were being stolen by an obsessed fan who wanted to "touch" her.

She told Flaunt magazine, "A homeless person went into my home and was living in my guest house with my Baywatch bathing suit on, slicing her wrists. She had a letter that said, 'I'm not a lesbian I just want to touch you.' She got my bathing suit out of my room. I called security who couldn't find her, and then she was in my house. Things kept going missing, where's that loaf of bread? Where's my jean jacket? And I'd be like 'Am I going crazy?' She was there for three or four days." Just how big is your house Pamela that you didn't realize there was a fan living with you?

10 Two Creepy Fans Dressed As Maids Broke Into Justin Bieber's Bedroom

Justin Bieber has had a fair share of crazy fans over the years but nothing could have prepared him for what went down in 2011. Two teenage fans, aged 16 and 18, dressed as maids managed to get into his bedroom. The girls also took photos of "highly personal" items in the What Do U Mean singer's room.

The Daily Mirror reported, "Two particularly enterprising girls snuck in through a side entrance, and stole two housekeeping outfits. After ditching their regular clothes and slipping into their new costumes. The girls began half-heartedly polishing tables and dusting surfaces.

"No one clocked on until the girls were alone, and in his bedroom, taking pictures of his personal possessions on their phones. A member of Justin's entourage heard them giggling and came through, catching them in the act. The girls were evicted from the premises."

9 Rachel Bilson's Home Was Robbed Five Times In Two Weeks

The Bling Ring was a notorious gang of eight teenagers and young adults from California who targeted the home of the rich and the famous. They broke into the homes of high profile stars including Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom. Shockingly in the summer of 2009, they targeted the home of The O.C. actress Rachel Bilson five times in just two weeks - heading back time and time again to rob her.

The Cut reported, "Ms. Bilson was probably the most emblematic of how this group typically worked. (The Bling Ring) identified (Bilson) as a target and committed numerous burglaries all within an approximate two- to three-week period." She was a victim because they "loved her clothes." Over the course of one year, the group had stolen around $3 million in cash and belongings.

It's not like Chris Brown to complain there's a woman in his bed but when that woman is a crazed stalker then he's not so keen. In 2015, he had quite the shock when he returned to his Agoura Hills house in Los Angeles and found 21-year old Amira Kodcia Ayeb naked in his bed. The police were called and Amira was held on $50,000 bail.

The really creepy thing about the break-in was that his stalker had been in his house for days. Brown later shared that Amira had left "voodoo things" around the home, threw out all of the clothes belonging to his daughter Royalty, spray-painted "I LOVE YOU" on his kitchen counter, and vandalized his cars by painting "MRS. BROWN" on them. That's enough to freak anyone out.

7 Amber Rose Had No Idea Robber Was In Her house For 4 Hours As She Slept

Amber Rose is made of tough stuff but even she was left shaken when it was discovered that a robber had hidden in her house for up to four hours. Earlier this year, the model and Kanye West's ex-girlfriend was sleeping at home with her 4-year-old son, Sebastian. TMZ reported that her bodyguards and assistant were also with her but they had fallen asleep too.

When she woke up the next morning, her window had been broken in the kitchen and she decided to check the CCTV footage. Then, she found that the robber had been roaming around her house as everyone slept. What else is really creepy is that the intruder didn't take anything - other than taking in the view of what the model's house looked like from the inside.

6 Sandra Bullock Finds Obsessed Fan Standing Outside Her Bedroom Door

One of the most frightening celebrity home invasions was when Sandra Bullock found herself face-to-face with a crazed stalker right outside her bedroom door. In 2014. the Miss Congeniality was at her home on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood when 39-year-old Joshua Corbett climbed over her fence and got inside at around 1 am. She opened her door when she heard banging, saw her stalker and quickly dialed 911.

Then in a panic, she hid in a cupboard and told the dispatcher to hurry as the mad fan was banging on her bedroom door. When the police arrived, they found him walking around the house screaming, "Sandy, I'm sorry." He had also written a note that read: "I will forever be thinking of you and (Bullock's son) Louie, my son, as you are my wife by law, the law of God and you belong to me and me to you." The most worrying thing is when the stalker's home was searched police found "an arsenal of weapons" including illegal machine guns.

5 Naked Man Breaks Into Nicolas Cage's Bedroom In The Middle Of The Night

Hollywood star Nicolas Cage revealed at the Toronto International Film Festival that he woke one night to find a naked man eating a Fudgesicle stood over his bed as he slept. He recalled, "It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year-old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed." He added, "I know it sounds funny… but it was horrifying."

Cage managed to use the power of persuasion and talk the man out of his house until the police arrived. He has since moved to Nassau in the Bahamas. His wife, former waitress Alice Kim, is his third wife about unsuccessful marriages to Patricia Arquette, and then to Lisa Marie Presley.

4 Crazed Woman Armed With A Brick Broke Into Simon Cowell's Bedroom

In 2012, music mogul Simon Cowell was left "badly shaken" when an intruder broke into his house armed with a brick. 29-year-old Leanne Zaloumis climbed onto a roof at his house and smashed her way through the bathroom window with the weapon. Then, like something out of a horror movie, she held the rock above her head and her hands were covered in blood. Simon then fled to his bedroom and barricaded himself in whilst he called the police.

The prosecution said in court, "(Zaloumis) entered, as a trespasser, a dwelling with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm upon a person therein and at the time of committing the said burglary had with you a weapon of offense, namely a broken house brick." Perhaps a rejected pop singer he had angered?

3 Keanu Reeves Has A History Of Crazy Women Breaking Into His Home

Keanu Reeves knows a lot about crazy fans breaking into his house but one took it as far as jumping into his pool completely naked. Then just two days later, a second woman broke into his home and confronted him in his library at 4 am as she sat in a broken chair. TMZ reported that the second intrusion took place after the cleaning company had foolishly left his front gate open and all the crazies started running up his drive.

The Daily Mail reported that police had confirmed they were called to his Hollywood home where they "detained one female at the location in her 40s' after speaking to (Reeves who) advised them that she obviously did not belong there." Someone had better remember to lock the gates next time.

2 Stalker Breaks Into Madonna's House And Dressed In Her Husband's Clothes

The Queen of Pop was left "distressed" after a stalker broke into her family home in London and dressed in the clothes of her then-husband Guy Ritchie. Grezgorz Matlok had left Madonna feeling "unsettled" after sending her intimate messages and he believed they were both in a relationship together. Although, even she didn't know just how far his obsession would go.

The Polish native had a map of Madonna's home and used a rope that was tied from her neighbor's balcony to get into her home. Madonna told the court, "I feel alarmed and distressed by the actions of the defendant. It's extremely unsettling to know that despite the extensive security I have he has been able to break into two residential properties owned by me." She added, "I am worried about the safety of my children. I am also worried about the safety of my staff and naturally I am also worried about my own safety." Matlok has since received medical treatment following the home invasion.

1 Intruder Broke Into Frances Bean's House And Did Her Laundry

So this is quite creepy - an intruder broke into the home of Frances Bean, daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and started to do her laundry. A close relative to the rock heiress had gone to the house to take care of the dogs when they found the intruder and Bean's washing in his arms. 22-year-old Marc James Franco denied charges of first-degree burglary despite being caught red-handed.

Bean herself already creeps out her late father's former bandmates as she told Rolling Stone magazine, "Dave (Grohl), Krist (Novoselic) and Pat (Smear) came over to a house where I was living. It was the first time (the ex-Nirvana members) had been together in a long time. And they had what I call the 'Jeebies,' which is when they see me, they see Kurt. They look at me, and you can see they're looking at a ghost."
