15 Stars Who Use The Law Of Attraction

Do you ever wonder how celebrities are able to achieve the success that they do, while there are millions of people who can never seem to get there? 15 of them, at least, put it down to the Law of Attraction.

Put simply, the Law of Attraction refers to manifesting (or attracting) into your reality whatever you focus on the most. Believers of the Law aim to have mostly positive thoughts, so that they have positive energy vibrations and attract positive experiences. They spend time concentrating on the specific things they want, so those things appear in their lives.

While there are some who don't believe in the Law of Attraction, the following stars do wholeheartedly! Having used techniques like visualization, affirmations, and vision boards to get the careers they want, these actors, singers, business people and sports stars swear by the power of positive thinking. So could they be onto something? You be the judge!

    15 Beyoncé: Always Focused

When consciously using the Law of Attraction, many people like to have something physical to look at that helps them solidify their vision and imagine what they want more clearly. Queen B doesn't really talk about using the Law, but she does do it, even if she doesn't realize! In an interview on 60 Minutes, she revealed that when she runs on the treadmill, she keeps a picture of an Academy Award in the room, so she can keep her goal in her mind and visualize achieving it. Though she's yet to win an Oscar for herself, her film Dreamgirls was nominated for several Academy Awards and even won two. And it's Beyoncé-we're sure there's an Academy Award waiting for her in the future! Using this technique may not have brought B exactly what she wanted in this instance, but she probably applies it to other areas of her career, which she's killing!

14 Kanye West: Number One Fan

The world loves to hate on Kanye West for being arrogant and egotistical. While it's true that you can be confident without putting others down, at the end of the day, even Yeezus knows that he owes his success and iconic status to his ability to believe in himself and be his own biggest fan. Before anybody else was rooting for him, he had to root for himself, and focus on what he wanted to become instead of what he was at the time. He attributes his transformation into a superstar rapper to imagining such a transformation first. “I am a production of me. I thought I was the best rapper in the world. I sat around and thought about it, and then became Kanye West.” Again, he might not use the words “Law of Attraction” but it's clear to those who are familiar with it that this is exactly what he was doing!

13 Katy Perry: Grammy Award Vision Board

Katy Perry knows all about the power of visualizing and vision boards to help direct your focus. In an interview she did with MTV in 2009, she explained that when she was little, her teacher had the class create their own vision boards filled with pictures of the things they aspired to in life. Perry included a photo of the late pop star Selena holding her Grammy award, hoping that one day, she would win one too. She might not have achieved that particular dream yet, but as of 2017, she has been nominated for 13 Grammys. It's said that even if the Law of Attraction doesn't bring you specifically what you want for a long time, you know it's working when similar things start to show up in your life. Perry might not have her own Grammy, but she does have five American Music Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards and five Billboard Music Awards among others. Just sayin'.

12 Lady Gaga: The Fame Was Inside Her

Superstar Lady Gaga is another fan of the Law of Attraction, but rather than relying on visualizing what she wanted, she used mantras and affirmations. When she was a struggling artist trying to make a living in New York's underground club scene, she would focus on what she wanted to become, and use specific words to help her brain think that was real already. “It's sort of like a mantra. You repeat it to yourself every day,” she said. “'Music is my life, music is my life. The fame is inside of me, I'm going to make a number one record with number one hits.' And it's not yet, it's a lie. You're saying a lie over and over and over again, and then, one day the lie is true.” Through focusing on the person she wanted to be rather than the person that she was, Gaga ended up becoming the most famous singer on the planet in 2009.

11 Conor McGregor: The Importance of Gratitude

Conor McGregor isn't the first guy you'd think of when picturing a person who practices gratitude, but the UFC Fighter lives his life based on that very notion. “You need to appreciate your surroundings and be grateful for it, and that's when good things happen,” he said. “To have that bitterness and negativity, that's when things go bad. I think the fact that I appreciate everything and that I'm grateful for the things around me, that's why it's going so good for me.” A huge part of the Law of Attraction is being grateful, because when you feel grateful, then you attract more things to be grateful for, and so the cycle goes on. He's also spoken about believing in what you want to attract and speaking it into existence: “If you truly believe in it and become vocal with it, you are creating that law of attraction and it will become reality.”

10 Jim Carrey: The Power of Visualization

Visualization is one of the most popular ways to get the Law of Attraction working. Basically, the aim is to imagine something so vividly that you feel as if it's real, and then attract it into your experience with the vibration of your energy. Legendary actor Jim Carrey relied on this technique back when he was trying to get his start (well before his funny faces and impressions were iconic!). He has said in interviews that he would think about all the directors interested in him and his work. To help bring about the feeling of success, even before it was his, Carrey also used physical aids to help his imagination. “I wrote myself a check for $10,000,000 for acting services rendered. I gave myself 3 years and I dated it Thanksgiving 1995… But then, just before Thanksgiving 1995 I found out I was going to make $10,000,000 on Dumb and Dumber.” Pretty amazing, right?

    9 Oprah Winfrey: LOA Advocate

Nobody can deny the success of Oprah Winfrey. One of the world's wealthiest women, she often talks about the importance of believing that something is true in order to make it so. “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe,” is one of her most famous quotes, and something that inspires hundreds of thousands around the world today. Of course she worked hard to become a media mogul and create her empire, but many people work hard and never seem to achieve the same level of success. While some would put it down to luck or fate, Winfrey believes that it all has to do with the view she had of herself, and the thoughts in her head. She believed in her potential, concentrated on what she wanted instead of what she didn't want, and acted like a success long before the first paycheck arrived.

8 Will Smith: The Fresh Prince of the Universe

Will Smith is one of those stars who doesn't just use the Law of Attraction unknowingly-he understands how it works and spends a lot of time spreading the message to thousands of listeners. “We both believe, wholeheartedly, that our thoughts, our feelings, our dreams, our ideas are physical in the universe. That if we dream something, if we picture something, we commit ourselves to it and that it's a physical thrust towards realization that we can put into the universe,” he explained. “That the universe is not a thing that's going to push us around. That the world, and people, and situations are not things that are going to push us around. That we are going to… command and demand that the universe become what we want it to be.” With a longstanding career and beautiful family of his own, Smith has gotten pretty good at demanding things from the Universe!

7 Steve Harvey: The Law's Biggest Fan

One of the celebrities who actively advocates for the Law of Attraction is comedian, actor and TV personality Steve Harvey. He uses his platform to raise awareness for the power of thought, and in particular, is a huge fan of the Law of Attraction book The Secret. “[The Secret] is the most powerful book outside of the Bible that I have read in my life,” he said on one of his shows. “The book is based on The Law of Attraction and how that principle-once you master it-can help you find wealth, happiness, better health, whatever you're looking for, relationships.” If you're having trouble understanding how this Law of Attraction stuff works, just watch one of Harvey's explanations on YouTube! He unpacks everything from the power of gratitude to the process of asking, believing and receiving and clearly explains how to get the things you want using the principles he has used.

6 Denzel Washington: Repelling the Negative

Though a deeply religious man, Denzel Washington isn't shy about vouching for the Law of Attraction. Appearing in a YouTube video that went viral, Washington is heard talking about his view on how the world works, and the power humans have to create their own destinies. After being asked if he believes that you attract what you fear, he confirmed, “Well I mean positively and negatively, I mean you attract, I mean not just what you fear, you attract what you feel, what you are.” While many stars are happy to talk about how the Law of Attraction brought them what they wanted, they don't always discuss the other side: that dwelling on the negative will bring you negative experiences. Washington believes in clearing your mind of fearful, hateful, and other nasty thoughts, to avoid drawing those things into your life like a magnet. If his acting career is anything to go by, he's doing a pretty good job of it!

5 Arnold Schwarzenegger: Bodybuilding to Politics

No matter what area in life you're trying to be successful in, the Law of Attraction always works the same way. As someone who's achieved greatness as a bodybuilder, an actor and eventually, a governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger can attest to the fact that the method is always the same. Whatever he's doing, he pictures what he wants to happen, focuses on it until he feels and believes that it's true, and then enjoys it when it comes to fruition. “It's the same process I used in bodybuilding: What you do is create a vision of who you want to be-and then live that picture as if it were already true.” By following this belief system, Arnie has managed to make headlines in the gym, at the box office, and from the podium. He's a perfect example of applying the same Law to absolutely anything, and having it work every time.

4 Idris Elba: Believe to Achieve

London-born Idris Elba is an actor, producer, DJ, and musician. A lot of people spend their whole lives trying to achieve success in just one of those areas, but Elba has killed it in all of them. And like the other stars on this list, his ability to imagine his success before he achieved it was a major part of his journey to stardom. “I think my imagination has always kept me going. I just imagined myself collecting awards. I just imagined myself getting big parts. That's part of my inner magic. If I can see myself doing it, I can do it.” Of course talent and work come into it too, but it was Elba's use of imagination, visualization, and trust in himself and the Universe that ultimately attracted specific opportunities, and stopped him from giving up like so many talented dreamers do. We should all take a note out of his book!

3 Diddy: The Power of Words

Studies have shown that our words hold more power than we think. Rapper and music exec P. Diddy/Sean Combs (or whatever he goes by these days!) really believes in the enormous strength of our words. Rather than just being a way to communicate, they can either help or hinder our lives by bringing about positivity or negativity, depending on what we choose to say. “I always believed about the power of what you say in your records. I always try to talk about the positive things, because I seen it happen, I know the strength of it,” he said. Words are so important when it comes to the Law of Attraction because our words and our thoughts are so closely linked, and we know that our thoughts are what decides our emotions and the vibration of our energy, which is what attracts similar things into our lives. Think about that the next time you want to put yourself down!

2 Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor

Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor make up the most successful female beach volleyball team of all time. A title like that obviously comes with lots of effort and dedication, but they are open about the other methods they rely on to reach success, including meditation, visualization, and yoga. “A lot of what we do is visualization,” Walsh said in an interview with USA Today. “To be able to… take in the sights, the sounds, the stress, the excitement-that's going to serve us really well moving forward.” Like many of the other stars on this list, the girls imagine the way they want their matches to go, picturing everything right down to the smallest detail, and then find that their visualization plays out in real life. It seems like this technique is definitely working for them, since they currently have three Olympic gold medals!

    1 LMFAO

The guys from LMFAO may not seem all that spiritual and one with the Universe, but they are into the Law of Attraction big time! While they understand how the Law brings them the success that they crave, they also understand how it can work the other way and bring them negative things if they're not careful with it. “… But at the same time it could be what you don't want as well. 'Why am I always broke? Why don't I get girls?' So you're gonna attract that. You're imagining yourself being broke. You're imagining yourself not attracting girls. And that's gonna be your resolve. So if that law is true, then you might as well just think about what you want. In a nutshell, that's what we did.” Now, the guys hold these beliefs in the front of their mind before they do anything, taking care to imagine their records going to number one instead of failing.
