What You Should NEVER Say To Your Man (Based On HIS Zodiac Sign)

Astrology is a really interesting thing. You either do believe in it and voraciously read your horoscope at any chance you get or laugh it off when you see others looking to the stars. Whatever your beliefs may be, the truth is that astrology is very popular and definitely here to stay.

We're not here to argue about whether or not astrology is real - there are plenty of indicators that there's some truth to the study of zodiac signs and how they relate to one another. In the very least, it can help us not feel so small in this great, wild world and make us believe in destiny. Which is nice, really.

Another thing it can help us do is determine how to best deal with relationships. Our star signs can help us figure out who we're most compatible with, what to say to them, and, perhaps most importantly, what not to say to them.

That sounds strange, right? What not to say to someone being more important than what to say to someone? Well, truthfully… isn't it? Wouldn't most people overlook something perhaps slightly negative or neutral and not expect positives all the time, but being grossly offended is usually not anything that can be forgiven easily. What happens if you say the wrong thing, and then a fight ensues? What if you break up over it? What if you never see him again because the fight was so gnarly and so nasty that it's best to just end it there?

12 Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

"I don't understand you"

If you're with an Aquarius man, be prepared for a roller coaster of an experience. Dynamic and interested in many things, this guy will be the type to want to surprise you with an adrenaline rush on your first date, be it something as spectacular as sky-diving or something as simple as a scary movie. He isn't one for settling for the mundane and routine - he loves to shake things up from time to time to keep things exciting.

The Aquarius man wants to have fun, even if it's something out of his love interest's comfort zone. He's not suggesting these things to torture you - he's just trying to have fun with the love of his life. Telling him that you don't understand him is like saying you don't see his love for you. A guy that can tune into his senses and perhaps even understand yours is definitely desirable and, dare we say, sexy! Because the Pisces man is so deep, he's often lost in thought. He's probably working out his next project in his head or thinking about something really important to him. His mind is a canvas, and his thoughts are the paint which create beautiful images. 10 Aries (March 21 - April 19)

"We're doing things my way - OR ELSE"

The Aries man is a natural-born leader. He's a decision maker who likes to have things his way. His strong will and dedication to himself makes him seem confident on a good day and arrogant on a bad one. Think Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and that's basically an Aries man to a tee.

And just like Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, the Aries man doesn't like it when things don't go his way. He likes being large and in charge, and he wants a partner that will let him be the boss. Some women (and men) are totally cool with that, while others will feel the need to rule the roost. This will make the Aries man very unhappy, and he'll be less likely to call those that need to feel dominant.

9 Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

"I'm not looking for anything serious"

Are you with a Taurus man? Then you already know this guy's sweet and sour sides. He's sometimes shy, perhaps slow to warm up, but wave a little red in front of his face and he'll unquestioningly charge at it. Because he's a bit slow to warm up, he needs a partner that will be by his side, committed and happy. This is the way to the bull's heart - dedication and loyalty.

8 Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

All the people reading this with a Gemini man don't even have to continue reading, because their Gemini guy has probably told them over… and over… and over… and over… and over… and over what they don't wanna hear. These loquacious lads are masters of words, both spoken and written, and they make for excellent communicators. He knows how to express his feelings, both positive and negative, and chances are he's explained himself to tears when it comes to his feelings.

So it should come as no surprise that the number one thing the Gemini man doesn't want to hear is "let's settle". This guy wants to explore, see the world, and discover new things. He loves to read travel blogs, peruse AirBnBs he'll probably never stay in, and plan vacations to escape reality. The little house with the white picket fence dream bores him to death, and he'll be pretty unhappy if he even gets an inkling that his life will end up predictable.

7 Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

"I don't need you"

The Cancer man likes to feel needed. It doesn't matter if it's dragon-slaying or light bulb changing - this guy wants to be the one that is called upon when a problem needs solving. Maybe you've been in a situation where he's over at your place and you're wanting to focus on having a good evening, but all he can think about is how your chair has an uneven leg and "he knows a trick that can fix that". Or maybe you're driving somewhere with him in your car, and while you're trying to focus on the conversation and have a good time, he's listening to your car's engine to try to see if there are any issues with it, rattling off possible problems with your vehicle.

If this sounds like your man, the last thing you want to say to him is "I don't need you". This guy wants to feel like he's filling a void that no one else can fill, and by taking away the spot he loves to occupy, you're basically denying his identity, which is a problem-solving handyman. Best to let him do his thing - why wouldn't you want your items in tip-top shape, right?

6 Leo (July 23 - August 22)

"Okay, but what's next?"

The Leo man is king of all he sees. He's the life of the party, the ringleader of his friends, and the center of attention. Of course, there's nothing he loves more than having his partner right next to him, and he'll be energized by the two of you sharing the spotlight and loving the energy.

There's a feeling he chases - it's not necessarily people fawning over him or giving him validation. It's that feeling you get when the music hits just right, the atmosphere is just so, and all the stars align to create the perfect moment. Those moments are what he craves, and he'll stop and smell every flower to feel that all over again.

So if someone interrupts those moments or simply doesn't know how to enjoy them, it'll really ruin his vibe. He wants to look back on those candid moments and see the woman his love interest - not a ruined experience. Don't ask what's next - enjoy the moment with him instead.

5 Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

We all know this guy - the one who finds the girls who are absolutely broken and tries to make them whole again. He's caring, kind, considerate, and is a great shoulder to lean on. He'll be the one to suggest tons of advice - good advice - and take you completely under his wing. He's the proverbial white knight, and he'll find a damsel in distress to rescue and fix up all good as new.

But then… what happens to the girls that don't need fixing? Well… he probably has no use for them. Even the ones he's fixed before - like a finished project, it's time to move onto the next one. So telling this Virgo that you're not a trainwreck is oddly enough the last thing he wants to hear, and he'll be likely to pass you up for some other hot mess.

4 Libra (September 23 - October 22)

"I don't want to make decisions - can't I just completely defer to you?"

The Libra man is a balanced man. He likes to remain neutral in many situations and can adeptly fill positions that require said neutrality, like a judge or mediator. He doesn't want to swing too far one way or another, as that will offset his equilibrium and he won't be happy about it.

When looking for a partner, he wants to find someone who will be his teammate. He wants a person that he can lean on as much as they can lean on him. He's not trying to be too dominant or too submissive - he just takes it on a case by case basis and tries to look at things from all sides.

So when he comes across someone that has a need to be either dominant or submissive, that won't fly with him. He doesn't want to make all the decisions, but he doesn't want you to wear the pants either. If you're not interested in a democratic approach to things, he may not be interested in you.

3 Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

The Scorpio man is hot, Hot, HOT! He is great in bed and tries to please every last sense when it comes to both his and her intimate experiences. He loves the notion of power, and nothing excites him more than a powerful woman. He believes himself to be a powerful man, so a strong woman is required for him to feel like he's on top of the world.

Since he wants to find the Amal to his George Clooney, he needs a woman who wants to reach new heights and really challenge herself. She might run her own side business, be a top performer at work, or successful in another way. It doesn't matter what she does - if she holds or represents a position of power, it really riles him up. 2 Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

If you haven't had the pleasure of dating a Sagittarius man before, don't worry - you're not alone, as they're pretty hard to pin down. They're more likely to be found backpacking across continents than sitting at a desk job all day - in fact, he can't think of a better profession than to travel for work, and their heart can be found in each new place they visit.

Although he's thrilled to get a new stamp in his passport, nothing would make him happier than to try new things with the woman he loves most. 1 Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Are you with a Capricorn guy? Then you know that this man is the textbook definition of loyal, and he expects his love interest to be the same way. He doesn't open up very easily - even if he appears to at first with his smooth words - so the loyalty comes only after he feels he can really trust someone.

If you manage to gain his trust, take it as a symbol of his dedication to you, since that's what it really means. He won't trust just anybody, and by reassuring him that you're in it for the long haul, he'll stay loyal. Period.

But if he even gets so much as an inkling that you're not really serious about the relationship, he'll start closing himself off to you.
