15 Photoshopped Pics That Fooled Us All

We all deal with our own insecurities, and even the beautiful celebrities we all admire may not feel so perfect when they take a look in the mirror. Many famous people are judged by the way they look, and they are critiqued on their best and worst days by the public and the media. It's no wonder many of them spend hours in the gym to maintain their figures. But for other celebs, no amount of working out can appease them, so they resort to using a photo editing program called Photoshop to help nip and tuck their problem areas.

Many magazines and big name publications also use Photoshop to alter the appearance of celebrities. These altered images can sometimes be misleading to the public, and it has sparked a huge debate on how far the publication industry has gone to drastically change celebrities' appearances on the covers of magazines.

But when it comes to celeb selfies or pictures, we often don't associate them with Photoshop. We think we are looking at natural pics of perfect celebs with no wrinkles, no zits and perfect smiles. Whether celebs are taking the editing into their own hands, or their images are tweaked by a publication, we can't help but be obsessed with attaining this level of beauty, which is indeed not possible. Take a look below to see 15 celeb images that were totally photoshopped and totally fooled us. We added a few extra images to give you a better idea of just how almost every selfie and pic has been altered.

15 Madonna

Madonna has been in the music industry since the early-80s, and time has definitely been good to her. She is still in awesome shape, and she can bust a move much better than many of the younger singers in the industry. But we all have to get old at some point, and Madonna is well into her 50s at this point, so we expect her to have some wrinkles here and there.

Although we all know what happens when Father Time comes knocking, this photo of the Material Girl was so heavily edited, she is almost unrecognizable. What's the point of Photoshopping a celebrity to the point where they don't even look like themselves? We have absolutely no idea what was going through their minds when they thought the edited photo was a good look. In the unretouched photo, Madge's fine lines and skin are on full display, but in the altered photo, she looks like she could be in her 30s. This is definitely a Photoshop fail that adds to reason why we have so many issues with ourselves.

14 Britney Spears

In her heyday, Britney Spears' body was smoking hot, and she still looks pretty damn good. Considering she had two children back to back, Britney is still pretty toned and slender, but that hasn't stopped her from Photoshopping many of the pictures she has posted to her online accounts.

This time around, we can't put all of the blame on Britney, because this Photoshop disaster comes to us from the magazine publication Marie Claire. In the unretouched photo, Britney definitely looks like her boys kept her up all night. She has dark circles underneath her eyes, and her skin looks dull and a bit dry. In the Photoshopped version, Britney looks like the pop star we've all grown to love. Marie Claire really thought they were going to pull a fast one on us, didn't they? We would have never known just how heavy-handed they were with the editing if the original photo was never released.

13 Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner has gone to great lengths to alter her appearance in recent years. The youngest sibling in the Kardashian-Jenner family has a lot to live up to. She comes from a long line of beautiful women who are a praised for their good looks and their flawless figures. Can you just imagine how much pressure she faced growing up? It makes sense that she had her very first augmentation when she was just 17-years-old when she got her lips plumped. She's trying so hard to keep up with her sisters, and she's going to great lengths to make her entire body look perfect.

In this photo above, Kylie sits on a chair wearing an all-black outfit. She looks pretty amazing, right? It's just too bad Kylie wasn't satisfied with her appearance, so she used a bit of Photoshop to bring in her waist a bit. Even though she's naturally slim, Kylie pinched in her midsection, and it's evident in the curvature of the shelves behind her.

Below you can see another example of what she actually looks like (left) and the airbrushed version (right). She is pretty in both photos however one is a little more deceiving.

12 Miranda Kerr

As a Victoria's Secret model, you wouldn't think Miranda Kerr would need to edit her photos, but the supermodel has been caught in the act numerous times. Miranda is a lover of editing tools, and she has been known to alter her midsection in many of the pictures she posts online.

In the Photoshop fail above, Miranda is doing a bit of stretching in her home. Her figure looks awesome, and her legs are nice and slender. This photo couldn't possibly be Photoshopped, right?! Wrong! Online experts pointed out the book shelf behind Miranda isn't lining up straight, and it's quite obvious that she altered her bum and her hips a bit before posting the picture online. She has denied editing her photos in the past, but you can't deny the proof.

11 Kim Kardashian & Blac Chyna

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to editing most of the photos that appear on her social media accounts, and it has even been rumored that must of the images of her that appear on gossip blogs and tabloid magazines have been altered, as well. The difference when Kim takes Photoshopping into her own hands is her pictures end up looking a crazy hot mess, like this photo she shared of herself and Blac Chyna during happier days.

When Chyna was engaged to Tyga, she started spending more and more time with Kim. The two were photographed out and about running errands, and then Kim posted this photo of the two of them in her master bathroom. Both women have their backs turned to the camera to flaunt their assets, but Internet users quickly noticed this photo had the tell-tale signs of some pretty laughable Photoshop edits. If you look in the background, you can see the uneven and squiggly lines against the wall and along the floor next to Kim's midsection and hips.

10 Prince George

This time, a magazine publication went way too far on their quest for perfection, and they actually Photoshopped a baby! Prince George was in the middle of a photo editing scandal when Us Weekly released this magazine with his adorable face on the cover. When the unedited photo was revealed, the world was shocked.

Prince George looks perfectly fine in the unretouched picture, so it's still a mystery why Us Weekly believed they needed to Photoshop his image before sending this issue to press. At the time, the royal baby was just 10-months-old, and magazine editors gave the OK to brighten up his image a bit. His skin is a bit rosier, as well as his lips. The magazine later addressed the issue by denying they had altered the baby's picture. They stated, “The original image used for the Prince George cover was dark and bluish in tone and needed to be given an overall color shift for printing purposes. By no means did we go in and alter the color of his eyes or cheeks in this process.” Yeah, sure.

9 Gwyneth Paltrow

You have never seen a Photoshop fail until you catch a glimpse of this photo of Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress appeared in an issue of Harper's Bazaar, and whoever was in charge of editing her image should definitely be fired!

In the photo, Gwyneth's legs are completely wonky, and her dress is twisted and contorted to the point that it doesn't even make sense. Is it a one-legged pants suit? Is her right leg in front of her left leg? Is her left leg just bent at an extremely awkward angle? The world may never know!

This Photoshop fail was seen by millions of people, and it was definitely a blunder that the magazine must have been completely embarrassed by. If they were going to edit her image, they could have at least done so subtly without turning her into a contortionist!

8 Aubrey O'Day

Aubrey O'Day's has changed drastically throughout the years. When she first appeared on our television screens on MTV's Making the Band, she was petite, slender and adorable. As time went on, Aubrey began to change everything, from her nose to her breast and her hips. These days, she looks like a completely different person, and all of her plastic surgery procedures haven't stopped her from tweaking a few of the photos she has posted on her social media accounts.

This photo in particular was edited by Aubrey, but the original photo can easily be found online. In Aubrey's version, she reduced the size of her midsection to give herself a coke bottle shape. When online users found the original image online, all hell broke loose. Aubrey looked perfectly fine in the unretouched photo, so we're still not sure why she went to such great lengths to alter herself so much.

7 Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has definitely been putting in some work in the gym, and it shows. She has been rocking the tiniest booty shorts to show off her toned and svelte legs, but despite the positive changes her body has made, companies still find the need to overly Photoshop her pictures, and she has also been caught altering a few of her personal photos that she has posted online, too. We think the singer looks awesome, so we were a little taken aback when this Photoshop fail was revealed.

Gaga took part in a photoshoot for Versace, and the pictures are all things the luxury fashion house is known for: glamour and luxury. We would have never known the singer's image was airbrushed to death if the unretouched photos were never leaked. In the original photo, Gaga looks completely fine. Sure, she may appear to be a bit tired, and her face could definitely use a bit of brightening, but Versace definitely went too far by completely butchering this image.

Above is another example of the actual image (left) which is still pretty and the edited version on the right which is perfect. This is why we feel so bad about our own pictures, what we're seeing are retouched pics of perfect looking celebs.

6 The Kardashians

The Kardashian family is notorious for airbrushing their pictures, but this time, they took things a bit too far. In an ad for their now defunct Kardashian Kollection at Sears, the editing crew went absolutely nuts and completely ruined this picture.

In this edited photo, all of the sisters appear to be the same height even though we know Kim and Kourtney have a couple inches in height difference, and Khloe is significantly taller than both of them. Kim seems to be edited the most in this lingerie ad. She's basically covering up Khloe's entire body, and it looks like her head was superimposed onto her neck. Khloe's left leg is completely nonexistent, and Kourtney's right hand isn't really touching Khloe's midsection. It appears to be floating in thin air! This is definitely one Photoshop fail the sisters probably wish would disappear forever. How could a big name company like Sears let this epic Photoshop disaster slip through the cracks?

5 Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is a veteran in the music industry, but she's definitely a novice when it comes to Photoshop. The iconic singer decided to share a picture with her millions of Instagram followers on Thanksgiving, but the joyful image landed itself in the center of a major Photoshop debate.

In the photo, Mariah is standing in front of a mirror holding a pie in one hand a can of whipped cream in the other. She's wearing a super hot outfit: a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a white bodysuit. She looks absolutely amazing, and she's definitely in good spirits considering her engagement to James Packer had just ended weeks before.

When you look closely at the photo, you can see how much of a horrible job MiMi did when trying to alter her image. The cabinets behind her are bent, and the reflection in the mirror is warped. Nice try, Mariah.

4 Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton has been keeping a low profile in recent years, and although the media isn't nearly as obsessed with her as they used to be, she still goes to great lengths to look her best whenever she's photographed.

In this picture, either Paris went a little too crazy with the photo editing or she's extremely double jointed. We're going to go with the latter.

Right before taking a flight, the socialite snapped this photo of herself wearing a cute summer dress, an oversized hat and some shades. Her right arm looks perfectly fine, but her left arm is all wonky and bent out of shape (literally). We're not too sure what Paris was trying to achieve by Phtoshopping her arm to death, but she still looks pretty, nonetheless. This is definitely one of the less extreme Photoshop blunders, but it's still a pretty hilarious fail if you ask us.

3 Beyonce

Beyonce wakes up looking flawless, but that doesn't mean the singer is completely satisfied with the way her body looks. To the rest of the world, she's beautiful and in perfect shape, but just like the rest of us, she probably deals with insecurities that drive her to edit her pictures. The Queen Bey has been called out various times for editing her legs, thighs and midsection in photos, but that hasn't stopped her from chasing perfection by continuing to Photoshop her photos.

This picture of the “Bootylicious” singer shows her standing in front of some gold curtails while wearing a gray bodysuit. Her curves are definitely on point at first glance, but if you look closely, you can totally tell that Bey altered this photo around her waistline. The drapes in the background curve near the areas around her midsection to give the appearance that her waist is much smaller than it really is.

2 Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is hanging on tight to her relevancy, and we're starting to wonder if she's actually doing these Photoshop fails on purpose to get more attention from the media. She has some pretty jacked up pictures on her social media page where the editing is so blatant. Even after she gets called out on her Photoshop fails, she never deletes the pictures in question, so it's pretty clear she's trolling us all!

The hilarity in this picture is like nothing we have ever seen before. Lindsay is wearing a waist trainer to cinch her midsection, but that's not the problem here. The problem is that Lindsay still wasn't satisfied with the way her waist looked in the garment, so she proceeded to Photoshop this picture into she warped the entire background into oblivion. The staircase looks like it belongs in a funhouse, and the floor is all wobbly. If Lindsay is going to continue altering her pictures, it might be time for her to take a Photoshop class so she can brush up on her technique.

1 Kim Kardashian

Look who made it onto our list once again! Kim Kardashian just can't stay away from the Photoshop. Even though paparazzi is bound to capture her true body shape and size, Kim always resorts to altering her own pictures beforehand.

This particular picture shows just how much of a difference Kim's real body is from her altered shape with some help from Photoshop. The reality star took this photo in front of a mirror before heading out. She looks slim and trim in her all-pink outfit. Her waist is absolutely tiny, giving the appearance that perhaps Kim has been putting in some extra work in the gym.

Hours later, paparazzi snapped the photo on the right, and Kim's real shape was revealed. She looks perfectly fine and normal, so we're unsure why she felt the need to alter her waist in her personal photo. There's nothing wrong with having a normal-sized midsection and wide hips. We only wish Kim would embrace her real body so she can stop embarrassing herself with her Photoshop fails!
